Das Schaffen ist für mich ein Weg, mich mit der realen Welt auseinanderzusetzen und sie durch meinen Filter zu sehen…

…denn Kunst ist ein Teil von mir. Sie ermöglicht mir, die Eindrücke der Welt zu spüren und wieder nach außen zu filtern. In meiner Malerei finden sich vor allem Themen, die mich während meiner frühen Jahre geprägt haben und die ich bis heute überall wiedererkenne. Aspekte der Einsamkeit des Individuums in der modernen globalen Welt. Die Reise des Ich durch Landschaften der Moderne und des Vergangenen, die Lichter der Stadt und die Wildnis.

Die Konfrontation des Ich mit der Unendlichkeit, Vergänglichkeit, der Demut vor dem Unaussprechbaren. Eine Reise, die nie endet.

Auf meiner Reise nehme ich Bilder der Natur, der Landschaften, und von Licht und Schatten auf, komponiere sie neu und realisiere sie mit Ölfarben auf der Leinwand. So bleibe ich auch nach meiner Reise unterwegs und begreife die Welt und meinen Platz in ihr immer wieder neu.

In my art, you will find themes that had an impact on me during my formative years, many of which I still see at almost every turn. Aspects of the loneliness of the individual in the modern global world. The journey of the self through landscapes of modernity and the past, the lights of the city and the wilderness. The confrontation of the ego with infinity, transience, humility in the face of the unspeakable. A journey that never ends.

On my journeys across the globe, I take pictures of nature, of landscapes and of light and shadow which I recompose and bring them onto the canvas with oil paint. In doing this, I remain on my journey even after returning from my travels as I understand the world and my place in it.
